Fantasy Battle Rivals questions answered

These are the questions that most often arise when someone plays Rivals for the first time or moves from one Gameweek to the next. The short answers below reflect the current production rules and weekly flow.

01

Do I pick a completely new team every Gameweek?

Yes. Each Gameweek is a fresh five-player selection and Power Up decision. Previous picks remain visible in completed battles, but they do not automatically carry into the next round.

02

Can I edit my team after selecting five players?

Yes, until you confirm the Power Up reveal. Revealing the three cards locks the team, and the football deadline provides the final boundary for unfinished selections.

03

Why can I not select another player from the same club?

From Gameweek 2 onwards, the five players must come from five different clubs. Once one club is represented, its other players become unavailable unless you remove the existing selection from that club.

04

Do I need a different team for every league?

No. One locked team and one Power Up apply to all of your applicable league battles in that Gameweek. League switches change the opponent view, not your selection.

05

What happens during a bye week?

A bye means an odd-sized league could not pair you with an opponent in that round. It is not a win, draw, loss or forfeit. Your team can still score and remain visible, but no head-to-head league result is awarded for that league.

06

Why did a live score change?

Minutes, clean sheets and provider statistics can change while matches are in progress. Rivals shows the best available live position, then uses verified performances when the Gameweek finalises.

07

When are league results and tables updated?

After all relevant football fixtures and player performances have settled. Finalisation locks the battle results, applies league points and refreshes tables, form, streaks and season statistics together.

08

Can a new league begin after the season has started?

Yes. A newly created league opens for the next available Gameweek and accepts members until that league's first applicable deadline. It does not award retrospective results for earlier weeks.

09

How do I delete my account?

Open your Rivals profile and use Request account deletion. A confirmation safeguard prevents accidental requests, and the privacy policy explains the completion period and treatment of anonymous competition history.

10

Where can I report a problem?

Email support@fantasybattle.co.uk with the Gameweek, league and battle involved. Specific fixture, player or screen details help the issue be reproduced and checked more quickly.
