Choose ten players
Your ten candidates are possibilities, not your final team. New picks are added to the bottom of your priority order.
How to Play
Fantasy Battle Rivals is a fresh weekly fantasy challenge. Pick and privately rank ten players, choose your Power Up, then receive an exclusive five-player team at the deadline. Battle another manager and score from real football performances.
Build a private ten-player draft pool with enough positional and club cover to guarantee a valid final team.
Rank those ten from first choice to tenth. Your rival never sees this order before the deadline.
Lock the priority order, reveal three Power Ups and choose one for the team you may be awarded.
Your league fixture—or Quick Match if you have no private league—is fixed, then the server awards both managers exclusive, valid five-player teams.
Your awarded teams and Power Ups reveal together, then real football performances drive the live battle.
Start again with a fresh priority list and Power Up. Previous selections do not carry over.
Your blind draft
Your ten candidates are possibilities, not your final team. New picks are added to the bottom of your priority order.
Rank exactly two goalkeepers and at least two defenders, two midfielders and two forwards. The other two places are flexible outfield choices.
Use at least eight different clubs and no more than two candidates from one club. The picker greys out choices that would make the board invalid.
Put your strongest preference at number one. The allocator follows each manager's order while protecting the final team rules.
You can edit picks and order until you lock. Power Ups only unlock after all ten candidates form a safe, valid board.
Your three come from the full pool using the published rarity probabilities. Choose one draft effect or scoring boost for the team you may be awarded.
You receive one goalkeeper, one player in every outfield position and one flexible outfielder, all from five different clubs.
Your first post-deadline visit reveals both awarded teams. Later visits open the normal Battle HQ view immediately.
At the deadline
The allocator compares both private rankings and searches for the strongest pair of legal teams. If both managers rank the same player at the same priority number, a deterministic coin flip settles that clash. Higher priority wins other direct clashes, unless a different choice is needed to keep both five-player teams valid. The completed allocation is saved once and reused; refreshing cannot reroll it.
No private league required
If you are not a member of a private league, lock the same ten-player ranking and Power Up as normal. At the deadline, Rivals randomly pairs you with another ready Quick Match manager. If the ready pool is odd, the remaining manager faces Rivals XI instead.
Joining a private league removes you from that Gameweek's Quick Match pool. A private-league bye remains a bye.
Your opponent, exclusive awarded five and Power Ups reveal at the deadline, then the normal live Battle HQ takes over.
Quick Match does not change private league tables, form, streaks or honours. Its completed battle remains available in your Battle HQ history.
Base player scoring
Each player scores according to their listed position. The flexible fifth slot does not change a player's position or scoring rules.
| Position | Plays | 60+ mins | Goal | Assist | Clean sheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GKGoalkeeper | +1 | +2 | +10 | +5 | +5 |
| DEFDefender | +1 | +2 | +7 | +4 | +4 |
| MIDMidfielder | +1 | +2 | +5 | +3 | +2 |
| FWDForward | +1 | +2 | +4 | +3 | 0 |
Playing any minutes earns 1 point. Reaching 60 minutes adds 2 more. Clean-sheet points are provisional while the clean sheet is active and come off if the team concedes.

Goal and assist tiers use the highest matching tier, not both. The goal-and-assist bonus is added separately when earned.
Draft or scoring
All Power Ups share one pool with published draw probabilities. You might draw one of the four effects below, which influences allocation without bypassing the legal-team rules, or receive three scoring effects instead.
Automatically win your first same-priority player clash. If both managers use it, the normal coin flip applies.
Choose a position and protect your highest-ranked candidate there. Matching protection on the same player is coin-flipped.
Protect your No.1 before reversal. Matching No.1 locks trigger a Power Up Clash: a coin flip awards the player; the loser gets their highest remaining legal pick.
Reverse your opponent’s remaining unprotected ranking. Protected picks stay locked; if both managers reverse, both rankings are affected.
